At the Immigrant Architects Coalition, we recognize the importance of fostering diversity and excellence in the field of architecture. We are pleased to announce the " IAC Architectural Excellence Scholarship", aimed at supporting international students on F-1/ J-1 visas pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) or Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree in the United States. This scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to deserving students who demonstrate a passion for architecture and academic excellence.

To be eligible for the IAC Architectural Excellence Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Enrollment: Applicants must be currently enrolled as full-time students in a NAAB-accredited B.Arch. or M.Arch. program in the United States.
2. Visa Status: Applicants must hold an F-1/ J-1 student visa.
Eligibility Criteria
Application Requirements
To apply for this scholarship, eligible candidates must submit the following documents:
1. Completed Application Form: Fill out the scholarship application form with accurate and up-to-date information.

2. Letter of Recommendation: Submit one letter of recommendation (no more than 1 page) from a faculty member or advisor who can attest to your full-time enrollment, country of origin, visa status, and academic/personal qualities.

3. Resume: Submit your resume (no more than 2 pages)

4. Design Submission: Submit a 24” x 36” layout (portrait orientation) of one individual studio project that best reflects your design skills and architectural ethos. This project must have been completed individually (no group work). Include project title, description, and key visuals (drawings, renderings, diagrams, etc.) in a clear and professional layout. Submit the file as a single PDF.
A selection committee will review all applications and select the scholarship recipient based on the following criteria:
1. Clarity and relevance of the application.
2. Strength of the letter of recommendation.
3. Resume content and accomplishments.
4. Quality and presentation of the design submission.
Selection Process
Notification:
The selected recipient will be notified via email. The $1,000 award will be disbursed directly to the recipient to support their educational expenses.
Deadline
The application deadline for the Architectural Excellence Scholarship for F-1/J-1 Visa Students is 14th September 2025. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
