The
Scholarship
At the Immigrant Architects Coalition, we recognize the importance of fostering diversity and excellence in the field of architecture. We are pleased to announce the " IAC Architectural Excellence Scholarship", aimed at supporting international students on F-1/ J-1 visas pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) or Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree in the United States. This scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to deserving students who demonstrate a passion for architecture and academic excellence.
To be eligible for the IAC Architectural Excellence Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Enrollment: Applicants must be currently enrolled as full-time students in a NAAB accredited B.Arch. or M.Arch. program in the United States.
2. Visa Status: Applicants must hold an F-1/ J-1 student visa.
Eligibility Criteria
Application Requirements
To apply for this scholarship, eligible candidates must submit the following documents:
1. Completed Application Form: Fill out the scholarship application form with accurate and up-to-date information.
2. Essay: Write a 500-word essay explaining your passion for architecture, your career goals in the field, and how this scholarship will assist you in achieving those goals.
3. Letter of Recommendation: Submit one letter of recommendation (no more than 1 page) from a faculty member or advisor who can attest to your full-time enrollment, visa status, and academic/personal qualities.
4. Resume & Portfolio: Submit your resume and portfolio (12 pages max, 1 PDF 10 MB) showcasing your architectural work or projects.
A selection committee will review all applications and select the scholarship recipient based on the following criteria:
1. Quality and relevance of the essay.
2. Strength of the letter of recommendation.

Selection Process
Notification:
The scholarship recipient will be notified via email and will receive the $1,000 scholarship award to be used for their educational expenses. The award will be disbursed directly to the recipient.
Scholarship will be awarded to 1 person per scholarship cycle. The winner will be highlighted and showcased on our social media platforms and will also be featured in an exclusive episode of the IAC podcast.
Deadline
The application deadline for the Architectural Excellence Scholarship for F-1/J-1 Visa Students is 31st March 2024. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
